The advantage of this technique is moving fat from areas that you don't want it (typically abdomen, flanks and thighs) to places where you may wish some contour enhancement (usually the buttocks). The technique requires special handling of the liposuction and the harvested fat as well as slow and smal volumes of fat injection. Our patients typically have somewhere between 2 - 4 liters of fat removed with about 400 - 800 cc of fat injected back into the buttocks.
