Is getting Tummy Tuck surgery with Butt Lift Safe?
How much can I expect to pay and how safe is a Tummy Tuck procedure with a Butt Lift? I weigh 115 lbs and have really good muscle tone, but it is not visible because I have thin, stretched out skin. I would like to have my skin lifted and tightened to reveal my muscle tone.
Combining procedures
Thanks for your question - There are several considerations to take into account when considering combining procedures. First, how long will it take? Depending on the procedures performed and the expertise of the surgeon extended surgical times (think longer than 5-6 hours) can be associated with increased complications and may require you to spend some time (usually just a night) in the hospital. Second, sometimes procedures can interfere with each other. That is, an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) may require you to be flexed at the waist somewhat and a butt lift (brazilian or not) may require you to sleep on your stomach or try to stay upright post-op. In addition butt lifts require you to be prone (on your stomach) in the OR and abdominoplasty on your back (supine). Changing positions intra-operatively may compromise one or the other. Be sure to talk about these details with a board certified plastic surgeon.
