I imagine that you can have tummy tuck surgery scars hidden below your underpants but is this true? can i wear a bikini 1 year after tummy tuck surgery?
Abdominoplasty scars
Thanks for the question. Abdominoplasty usually has two scars: One around the belly button, and a second transverse scar that can usually be placed low enough to be hidden by clothes. However, be sure to discuss scar placement with your surgeon. I have seen several patients who had abdominoplasties many years ago, and as fashions have changed, the scars have become harder to change (for example the scar was placed in a position by their previous surgeon that is well hidden in a high lateral cut bathing suit, but is visble with low rise jeans).
